Each of the following grains is loaded with nutrients that can lower cholesterol and blood pressure and help you lose weight. To get the most out of every whole grain you eat, follow these serving suggestions:
- Eat at least 4 cups of cooked oatmeal per week; try to avoid instant oatmeal.
- Add 2 tablespoons of wheat germ to cereals.
- Increase your flaxseed consumption gradually to 2 tablespoons a day.
