Watching your fat intake should not take the fun out of eating that ever-favorite summer indulgence—ice cream. Flavor is not the only decision you have to make when choosing ice cream. Should you eat regular, light, or fat-free version or go for another cold treat? Fat content of frozen desserts varies significantly. And remember, fat-free does not mean calorie-free. Always watch your portion size; if you double the serving, you double the calories.
           
Here are some general facts to help you make a healthful decision:
