Spinach Helps Reduce Artery Calcification

It seems Popeye knew something about heart health: The American Society of Hematology found that high intake of vitamin K from sources such as spinach reduced arterial calcification, a major risk factor for heart disease. Veggies such as spinach, broccoli, collards, and kale contain loads of vitamin K. Other sources of vitamin K include soybean oil, canola oil, cottonseed oil, and olive oil.
