Trick to Baking with Whole Wheat Flour
Q: I love to bake and know I should be using whole wheat flour, but I don’t like the bitter taste it gives off. Is there a trick to make it taste better?
A: Try white whole wheat flour. It’s a type of whole wheat that is white in color yet retains the fiber and heart-healthy nutrients of regular whole wheat. The taste and texture of white whole wheat flour are surprisingly similar to regular white flour. And you can substitute it for regular flour in your recipes. Look for white whole wheat flour in the baking aisle of your supermarket.
