iPods vs. Pacemakers

Portable music players, such as iPods, may cause pacemakers to malfunction, according to a teen who conducted a small study with doctors from Michigan State University. Using an iPod close to an implanted pacemaker caused some hearts to race and others to skip a few beats. Patients are typically advised by doctors that their implants can be affected by certain devices, including cellular phones.
