Take One Less Pill
Benefits of the Combination Drug
Narinder Duggal, M.D., an internist and clinical pharmacy specialist at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, Washington, says the combined pill reduces the risk of potential side effects as well as the chance a patient will forget to take a pill or accidentally take the wrong dose.
Duggal says taking one less pill can be good for your budget, too: “You’ll have one less copay or prescription to fill.” There also may be a positive psychological effect in cutting the number of prescriptions a patient must take.
