How ida keeps it fresh

fresh and easy recipes

Grilled Red Peppers with Garlic
For a terrific appetizer, spoon some of these full-flavored peppers on slices of toasted French bread.

Grilled Rosemary Chicken
To get the most juice from limes, lemons, or oranges, let them stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes before halving them and squeezing out the juice.

Meyer Lemon Sorbet
A cross between lemons and oranges, Meyer lemons were imported from China in the early 1900s. They're yellow to yellowish orange in color and are less tart than regular lemons.

Roasted Fresh Corn and Tomato Salad
This garden-fresh salad is the perfect partner for grilled fish, pork, or chicken.

Roasted Garlic Potatoes
When you're in a hurry, use bottled minced garlic instead of fresh. You'll need 1 tablespoon to equal six cloves.

Sesame Asparagus
Asparagus will stay fresh up to four days if you wrap the bases of the spears in a wet paper towel and keep them tightly sealed in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.

Watermelon-Limeade Cooler
Kids as well as adults will love this colorful summer sipper.
